Group of six Stilts were present on Friday evening, April 15 on the south side of Parrish Park Causeway at MINWR (Titusville, FL). With the setting sun behind me, it just caught the eye right and created a hightened awarness of its reddish coloration.

Beautiful light and great exposure control here, Robert!
The red eye and the water drop on its bill tip put this one over the top ...

A beauty, Robert. That eye is difficult to get as well as you did. I saw several of them at Merritt Island NWR last week, but the light was always at the wrong angle.

Robert:

Excellent job with the exposure of these difficult birds, the reds and blue are well saturated, the red iris is so nice.

I shot 300 plus images over the course of 30 minutes. With just the right head turn, the bird's red iris lite up. Those shots were my favorite and this one with the position of the bird, the water drop and the colors in the eye and legs is probably my most favorite. Glad you all liked it.

Very sharp and detailed image. I too really appreciate seeing the red in the eye, not easy to get.

Amazingly sharp. The color of the water is beautiful and the white are exposed nicely. The drop at the tip of his bill really adds a lot to the shot for me.

This is a beautiful image. That red eye really does pop out with this angle of the light. Very saturated colors, nice sharp detail and a lovely position of the bird. Well done.
