On a trip down to colorado late this summer for some mulie in velvet shots I caught a glimpse of this sunrise pano opportunity. I set up and took a manual exposure reading about the middle of the scene and set the camera on manual to get a 4 shot vertical pano that I later stiched together in ps. This compressed image does not do the large file justice, but I like it none the less.

This is awesome and I would love for it to stay here, but for full recognition of your work here you should consider moving it over to Landscape.. Leave a message here if you need any help.
Great great great shot. I am really happy you are here at NatureScapes.

No problem! I moved it and left a link to it in FFM.

Gorgeous colors and layers. This is especially beautiful as a pano. Great shot, and welcome to NatureScapes.Net!

Nicely done. This stitching method seems to work well. have to try it. Layers are a favorite of mine. THis shows them in an excellent manner without destrying the integrity of the shot with a crop of a standard digital or 35mm shot.

I love layered shots; this one is great, and very well-suited to the pano format.

Thought it was from the Smokies at first, so when I saw your description I was really surprised! Excellent work, the stitching is flawless. Lovely colors as well.
