This is so sweet and I like the light. I might be tempted to crop in past the twigs on the right and I would clone out the two small ones that touch the tail. Good job getting out in -30.

Bill, this is just so good it hurts to look at it. I like the comp as is but might be tempted to shave a bit from the top.

One week to go!!! I hope we have as much good luck as you did! :)

Bill,
Very nice shot. I kind of like it just the way it is - twigs and all. The only thing I would change would be to clone out the two twigs under the bird's tail. When I was there last week we didn't get much when it got really cold (e.g. your -30 degrees).

They do not seem to get very fazed by the weather. Excellent light. The twig nits have already been stated. Very nice!

Great light and detail, Bill. Well done with that temperature.

Last Saturday we had really strong winds blowing the snow around. The great gray headed for the deapest part of a spruce tree when the wind was at its worst. I didn't want to be out there either.

Bill,

Sweet light and blue sky. -30 beats -35.

Great light and a fine shot. Cloning out the two twigs touching the tail would improve the image but I like the rest of it just fine. Cropping the right is just a matter of taste and would also look fine.

Looks like the cold weather was worth it...? Love the look and the light. I've been checking the Duluth weather and it's been cold! Waiting for a warming trend before I head up, maybe a balmy 20 above.
