Ring-necked Duck

Caught this guy yesterday. Full frame. Cloned out two distracting bits of white around the reflection on the bottom. USM.

Canon 10D, Canon 100-400 (at 275mm), Tripod. (lowered to 18")

SS: 1/200, Aperture: f/8.0, ISO: 100

Beautiful capture of a difficult subject. When I have photographed these ducks, I always have difficulty balancing the dark and light while keeping the sheen. You have done it perfectly.

Georgeous shot. Love the inky water, just wish the water didnt change 2/3rds way through the bird.
