Turkey

We tried all morning to get the turkeys to leave the woods and get into an area more conducive to photography, but being "Turkeys" they kept to the woods.

Hastings, MI
EOS 10D, 300 f/4 IS, ISO 400, 1/200 @ F/4, evaluative +2/3, fill flash @ -1 2/3

You did really well with the colors on his chest, I am impressed at the subtlety and the saturation there

When I first looked at this I didnt notice the turkey in the BG! The wood setting doesnt bother me, actually, I like it. Beautiful irridescence too. Great shot.

An interesting image. We don't see many turkeys around here. The busy bg diagonals are distracting but it works. The flash looks like it caused some eyeshine or it is blinking.

Nice environmental shot, Bob. You did a nice job with the exposure/FF bringing out the irridescent colors of the turkey.

The diagonal branch in the background is a little distracting but a minor nit only. A very nice shot. Looks like it has cold feet (I would too).
