This was taken in downtown Cleveland. We were actually there photographing some of the thousands of red-breasted mergansers that migrate through every year. We were packing things up getting ready to leave when I noticed this gull out on some maritime structure.
Comments appreciated! :D

Great color on this shot, Kim. Does USM do much on a shot like this? for some reason the bird strikes me as softer than it should? :?

Love that bright orange and your composition. The bird does look soft to me too.

Great!

I'd crop just above the horizontal part at the base of the structure.

Lovely and interesting, Kim. I'd like to see the bird a bit sharper.

Neat shot. A little too much hand of man for me but the colorful bg is great. More USM for me too.

The colors on this one are spectacular. Silhouettes are something that I've done much with and this reminds me that I need to try them. I might be inclined to crop some of the "perch".
