Reposted with more noise reduction. What do you think.
Image

Spent the weekend traveling backroads shooting mainly Kestrels. This little guy was sitting in a tree focusing on the foreground so I stayed with him for a while and he dove straight out of the tree but missed a mouse. Pretty significant crop but I'm really happy with the image.

Canon 1DII, 500F4, 1.4X, ISO 200, 1/2500 sec, f6.3, shot from car window with bean bag.

Love the pose and the birds' colours.I think the inclusion of the branch was a good choice. 8)

Nice catch, Rob. The branches were a good idea to leave although I still might get rid of the two little ones at the top.

You seem to have quite a bit of noise, I don't know if one of the noise reducer programs would help.

An excellent shot!

Since this was a significant crop and I also underexposed (my bad). I don't think I can reduce any more noise than already removed. I did neat image on the background but when I did the bird, too many artifacts appeared.

This is a really cool shot!

The image displayed to the right after your text due to not putting a Return before inserting the image. I fixed it for you.

A really neat shot for sure. The noise bothers me though wish there was more you could do about it :?

Very pretty Rob, A good looking bird for sure. I like the upper image with the noise reduction. I wish these guys were as tame as the owls we are seeing here on the web. Great timing.
