Image shot yesterday at Venice rookery. This single chick was alone on the nest when I arrived before sunsrise and it was a long time before an adult arrived to feed it. I don't remember ever seeing such dark feathers on a chick this size?
MKII, 600 IS, 1.4x, ISO320, 1/400, f/11, RAW, full frame. I used f/11 here to ensure eyes would be sharp on both subjects. Comments welcome. Rich. Rich Demler
