Great shot Jim! If it were mine I think I'd crop some off the top and bottom though. I love the red bird against the dark green and the snow really adds a lot! :D

I really like the dark, moody feel of this. That light patch of sky in upper left corner sort of breaks that mood a bit. You could crop the top off to remove it, or if you want to keep the composition, just burn it in a little.

Nice shot. The habitat and light are just right for a cardinal. Nice job with this tough exposure too.
