Happy holidays to all of you at NSN.

I haven't posted in a bit despite a few trips here and there because the quality of what I am doing is just not good enough. I would like to thank all of you for your support and encouragement-- there's a special few who have had to put up with me in person -- but everyone here has been generous and gentle in helping me learn how to make the images I want to make.

Best to you all!

Bill Fissell

Bill, the reason you have not posted is all the more reason why you should. You will improve by getting feedback on the images you are not happy with, not the perfect ones. Anyway, I'm glad your back posting again.

This is a tough bird to get as they never stay still. Without seeing your techs (which would help in the critique) I would like to see more DOF. It looks like the point of focus was on the shoulder leaving the head a bit soft. The Bg and perch are excellent.

Happy Holidays to you.

Very good image Bill I like the perch and the morsel is great !!!! Killer bg and all sharp !!!!

Agree with Alan 100% It is good to look at other peoples work to learn but by posting and getting feedback would be the best !!!! Don't shortchange your images .... they are very good !!!!

Congratulations !!!!!!

Bill,

This is an excellent shot of a very cute little bird. The perch and the background are both very nice. A little less shutter speed to give you a higher aperature for more depth of field would make it even better.

Happy Holidays to you too.

Hey Bill,
there's a special few who have had to put up with me in person
'Putting up" isn't exactly what I'd call it. ;)

I love this little guy. I'm pretty sure this is one of our Soo birdies, right?
I do agree that the focus looks a touch off. I just wish we could get that issue figured out.

BTW- I love the green BG here.

Happy Holidays to you as well. :)
