The most photographed and irresistable duck in Miami, Pancho, the Red Crested Porchard of Crandon Gardens....

Last week I spent an hour shooting him in all his poses under different settings, etc. If he had a dime for every photo he's posed for in the last year, he could buy his own pond :P I thought this image was interesting with the multicolor layers from the reflections.

Canon EOS 20D w/70-200 2.8L USM IS w/1.4x TC; ISO 400; F/10 @ 1/160 - 2/3Ev; 580Ex w/strobe sock (equiv. to -1Ev). Converted in Adobe Raw 2.3 and processed in photoshop cs. Full frame.

Technicolor BG is right   . What draws my eye away from the duck the most is the reflection swirl in the tan band on the right.

Actually, the most beautiful RCPO was killed. He was my favorite.

This is really neat, Pete. It's unusual to see the water with vertically colored layers like this. A slight head turn would be nice, but I like it very much as is.

Mike, the Bg is a bit much for me, although the colors are great, it just too busy. The Duck looks very soft. Not sure why? Sure is a beautiful Duck.

The BG isn't doing it for me.

He looks a bit soft, likely due to motion blur.
