Snow Geese landing in a corn field Bosque del Apache NWR, NM

These guys were coming in to feed late in the afternoon before heading to the ponds for the night.

I wish the one with his head behind the wing of another hadn't been out of position.

All three with their wings up is great. I'm with you on the forth bird. Nice shot Jim.

I find the backlight works well here, Jim. Wing position and BG are great. Wish the head wasn't hidden :D

I like poses with raised wings but it's unfortunate that the fourth goose did not want to cooperate.

A fine gaggle of geese. Couldn't the director have moved that renegade goose?

Try save this image by cloning out this bird behind the wing ...
A superb group flight shot otherwise, Jim!

Too bad about the hidden head on the one goose...but then that's nature. I love the way that these geese look like their wings are timed to flap in unison. Nice backlighting and gorgeous whites. Very nice.
