Since I was in Southern California, and I had to drive down to La Jolla to see the Brown Pelicans. This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it on some occasions, I just had to crack up because the Pelicans were comical. Thanks to Mike Wilson for the helpful directions.

EOS 3, 500f/4IS, TC1.4II, manual exposure, incident meter at -1/3.

Please let me know what you think.

I like the posture on this guy. I do wish we could see at least one of the eyes more clearly.

Nice looking bird in some nice light. The pose is really cool. I do wish the head was turned and the shadow in the corner wasn't there. Glad I could help out, it is a place that I am ridiculously familiar with.

Enjoy shots of these which show the incredible complexity of their plumage. This is nice.

Very cool Christoph. I like the light and wing position.

You captured a somewhat unique pose. Just a little head turn to better show an eye and the red throat would have been nice. That cliff, in good light. is a special place (and worth returning to :) )
