Many people are signing up on a wait list for the new cameras expected out early Spring. Is there any advantage to being a NPS member (I am) in terms of getting a copy of the cameras earlier than people not a member of NPS? I seem to remember there was) If so, what steps should one take to make this happen? Thanks!

Yes, what you do is order one and then let NPS know that you ordered it and from whom. They will then dispatch a camera to that retailer with your name on it. It does have the effect of jumping the queue but only to the extent of where you are in line on the NPS pre-order list. But, if an item is backordered as new pro cameras usually are from Nikon, you will get one sooner than you would have.

Thank you for that E.J.

Shouldn't we all wait for 2nd or 3rd batch of cameras so all the bugs can be worked out first?
