Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Travel and Culture Gallery, week ending 27th July, 2012!I spent the weekend camping by the Apostles and finally did some shooting. It's been a long time since I have been able to find time and the right conditions for some photography...and I shot a lighthouse other than Split Rock! :lol:

Sand Island is the closest island to the mainland in the western end of the Apostles. Of the three lighthouses I visited it is the best looking and the best situated for both sunrise and sunset.

Really nice sky and sunburst! The dark clouds over the tip of the lighthouse make me think that lightning is about to strike.
