I sat with this guy for quite awhile until he finally got up from his afternoon nap for a look around. I know it's not a typical portrait with the moose looking away but I kind of like the subject's indifference to the photographer. 500mm+1.4tc, tripod and that old film stuff. All comments and critiques most welcome.

Bullwinkle was here :D An interesting and different shot - I might try to pump up the coat a bit to make it a little lighter.

A different perspective that works pretty well. I like the way you've positioned the moose in the frame. I only wish the background didn't have the bright stripes but you can't always have what you want.

Nice to see a different take on this type of shot Dave! I love the contemplative mood of the image, and the detail which even shows the falling rain drops which also add to the mood. Nice one! 8) 8) 8) :)

Yes, thought provoking, what Carol said contemplative... I like the rain here especially. Cool shot..

Interesting idea. I think it would be more effective without the bright striped in the BG.

I like this different treatment that you gave this moose. The light streaks in the background really highlight the animal and your title fits well. Nice exposure on the antlers too. From recent experience, I know that moose antlers do present an exposure problem.
