Awesome shot! I have been trying to shoot swallows here all spring and they are really really fast and provide quite the challenge!

I can appreciate your accomplishment, and the beak full of bugs is icing on the cake!

This is an outstanding shot. Love the outstretched pose and the exceptional details.

This simply rocks! I'd center him with equal space top and bottom.

These guys are soooo fast. I really value a shot like yours Lynn, as all of my trials failed so far.
Love the top view, banking pose and the food item is a plus.

This is beautiful. Love the blue background and the detail is fantastic for anything with a doubler attached to it.

This is perfection of a very difficult bird to catch in flight. Dare I ask how many images you took to get this one?

I've also spent a long time trying to get these guys in flight and it's not easy. Great shot

Hi Bob, every season I go many times and take a ballpark figure of say, 200 - 600 shots per session. Out of a season, I might get something like 3 - 10 images that I’m reasonably happy with (incidentally that figure gets smaller every year because I’m looking for something “better” than what I already have, if that makes sense). If I get caught up in assessing singular sessions, it can be very discouraging; rather, I try to see what I can do for the season. The more often I go of course, helps increase the odds. Appreciate your commenting :).
Lynn
