Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Birds Gallery, week ending 16th March, 2012!

This one is from last summer in Alaska. I love seeing shorebirds in the treetops. :)

Superb image. Comp is over the top, perch is fantastic, light and pose are both great, lovely colors, BG and detail as well as species. Big congratulations!

I especially like the orange lichens, but would crop out a portion of the lower ones so as not to overpower the subject. Great catchlight! Nice shot!

Edit:Regarding crop comment!
I digress! Since every other person liked it, I was wrong about crop! Sorry!

Every so often, an image will show up here that causes me to wish to see the place in which it was made. This outstanding image definitely falls into that category. The series on your website that includes this image is pure magic.

One of the best I have seen of this bird as a result of its sitting on this attractive perch and the calling pose, Jacob.

Very well done on the composition of this. The open beak of the bird calling is icing on the cake.
