Virginia Falls, Glacier National Park, August 2004. I think this is Virginia Falls anyway ... there were three falls, but only two named on the map. Anyone know what this falls is really named?

Nikon D70, Nikkor 12-24 @ 12mm, F/13, blend of 1/20 sec (whitewater) and 1/8 sec (everything else), digital perspective correction.

Love the composition. The satureated colors and warm tone makes me wann go there and have a cold dip in the water!

Mike this is a very nice design. I'm intrigued and my eye just wanders all around. I especially like the curve of the foreground rocks and the trees in the right. And the saturated colors add a nice punch.

Cheers,

Very nice image. I like the contrast of the greens and yellows with the white water.

Funny that when this opened, it "stuck" without going all the way down and the picture was OK. Then the full image opened with that powerful curve and balance of the trees in the FG--wow!

Hi Ken. It's just west of St. Mary Lake, most easily accessible from the St. Mary Falls trailhead from the Going to the Sun Road.
