Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Landscapes Gallery, week ending 13th January, 2012!

Here's one from my Yellowstone trip. We spent pretty much the entire time shooting wildlife, but managed to stop by Mammoth on the last day (new years day) for a half hour or so. Although a shot out subject, it was cool shooting something very different from what we get in Vancouver.

I'm not one to overgush, but if there was an image that made me want to do it, this would be it!
This photo looks more like art than a photograph, the painterly feel is fantastic. It will look good printed on canvas and placed on a wall. Congrats!

Like most of us, I have seen quite a few images from Mammoth over the years. Ive never really been moved by any of them. Sure some have been quite creative, but for the most part my personal opinion of them was rather blasé. You however have hit a home run with this image. Excellent work Connor.

Congratulations, I love this fantastic image. I like very much how some elements (the trees) represent the reality while the rest of the image represent mystery, softness, play of textures and colours.

This is otherworldly and mysterious. A very captivating image.

Advice: do more landscape work.

wonderful photo. When I look at it, it reminds me of the ying-yang symbol in a way.

This is seriously good Connor. One suggestion... dodging (just a bit) the dark patch of algae in the upper left might make this even stronger.

This looks like a very different view from what I usually see from this location! Love the painterly feel of it.

Wow!
This does send me off balance / confuses me, I just can't get my head round what is happening with the perspective even with the trees giving some sense to it. Not saying that's a bad thing, you've got a cracker of a shot in your tiny slice of time there. I love it but hate not being able to comprehend it totally.

Connor I LOVE this. It has a total otherworldly feel to it. You captured so much going on in one shot, and it's making me jealous.
