(Denali) Denali National Park, Alaska

This was taken just as the sun decided it was going to be hidden rather than giving us nice alpine light on the exposed mountains. It was still too nice a scene not to try with so I used the B-G polarizer to bring out a little color where there wasn't any.

I thought the ducks in the foreground were a nice touch although they all moved during the exposure. ;)

Tripod mounted Nikon D2H, 17-55AFS, ISO 200, @ 52mm, Aperture Priority, 1/10 @ F11, EV +1.0, Blue-Gold Polarizer. Full frame.

I like the splash of the right nost duck.

I think this image is too warm toned for me.

The neat thing about using RAW is the WB can be off by an awful lot and you can still get the image back to where it should have been. This set of processing took the B-G filter right out of the image.

I'd go for something in between. I like the splash too.

I was thinking the first one looked like a good rendition of the recent sunrises/sets that are enhanced by all of the smoke. (AK has had a record year for forest fires- 5 million acres gone so far and its still very hot and dry.) Nicely done in either case.
