I have taken delivery of an Epson 3880. Installed drivers, all ok.i have an Apple mac running Snow lepard 10.6.7.
Whatever i try, CS5 doesnt recognize the plug in. The version of the Epson print plug in is 1.14. I cant see it in CS5 under automate but for example i can see the photosharpener plug in.

I also get a message saying: could not complete your request because Photoshop doesnt recognize this type of file.

Called EPSON but they just tell me to download version 1.14 again!

It really starts to annoy me...can someone helpme out here?

Many thanks

Epson Print plug-in? Tere are no print plugins for Photoshop. Photoshop uses the system print driver for that printer which is installed from the software that comes with the printer. After installation, all you need to do is to select Print, change the printer to your new Epson printer and the Epson print driver should pop up. If not, check this forum as others were having some problems and found solutions. This entry was only a few below your post and may help:

Epson printers and Apple computers are at best a shaky relationship but once you get it working it works well.

I think the problem in that thread is different. I can print fine with the mac and the 3880 but the above link shows the epson print plug in for cs 5 that i cant get to work.

Is it a 32-bit vs. 64-bit Photoshop plugin issue?

How to connect a printer to a netbook or the other way around? I got a netbook(Aspire one) and I can't set up the printer. Usually I put the disk that came with the printer into the disk drive and upload it but the netbook doesn't have a disk drive. Can anyone help me please...I need a printer for school.
