Just got back from Barnegat. Just a bunch of sea gulls down at the jetty, because of all the fisherman. I was able to get a few pictures of this little guy.

It's a nice shot but it looks to have slight magenta cast to it and the light is not your friend here as the eye is a bit dark too.

Yeah it does look that way now that I look at it, the sun was not my friend that is true. But it was my first true time trying to shoot these little fast buggers

I touch the magenta aspect and looks better, but won't upload that. Also I can see that it is bright looking at this on my girlfriend's laptop. Should have had my light meter, and not have relied on the AV ot TV mode. That's what I get.

Hey Brandon!

It's great the first time yu try something and it works eh? You did well here considering the side light. Good job!

A very cute little bird. I'd love to see a bit of life in the eye. These guys really are fast!

Points for getting this guy still. I'd add a catchlight. Nice shot.

Tough light but still well captured. Shell serves well for balance. If the head had been turned just a hair further left (away) you would have a catch light as well.

Nice late motif entry. I might have used fill at zero and cranked down the ambient due to the bright midday light.
