Decided to post another image from Yosemite of the ever present marmot. This one is a bit closer up and more visible, as he was sunning himself on a large boulder rather than hiding under them as in my last post :) The background here are the many Lodgepole pines behind the boulders. This was taken around 8000 ft at one of the pullouts along Tioga Pass Rd.

Canon Eos10D + 400mm f/5.6L @ f/10.0. 1/200th sec, EV -1 2/3, Fill -1 2/3.

Great position and FG and BG. Is that you reflected in his eye?

Very nice shot Chris, my only nit is the 'red eye' which can be fixed in PS. Love the up close impact of the image. :) 8)

Nice close up work here, and love that background.. Agree with Carol about a little touch up on the eye, otherwise terrific..

Nice closeup, great detail, and strong composition. Looks like he could use a dental hygienist. :)
