I hope you're not getting tired of my Avocet Posts :?: . I thought I would post one more to see if it's any improvement from my first one. Both were taken during the same session. Again, all comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Vincent, this is sweet, love the dripping water, a little crop on the bottom for my taste and a touch more mid-tones to bring out a hair more contrast!!, Lovely image as is!! Congrats!! 8)

Very nice. What makes the shot for me, is the dripping water.

I wouldn't crop it (I would like it a lot less if you cropped the bottom) and I wouldn't increase the contrast.

I didn't see the first one, but this one is wonderful! The water falling from the beak puts it over the top.

Another breeding beauty from Belmar! Can't possibly get tired of seeing these birds. This one is no exception, an excellent bit of feeding behavior and your post processing has much improved over your last post. Bill has shown us many gems from that park and you are quite lucky to live so close.

Vincent,

Great timing catching him drawing his bill from the water. I would give this a +10 in Contrast and crop to just above your signature to remove some empty space but leave enough room for those long (virtual) legs.

Another beauty!! :D

I agree with Bill's comments on crop and contrast and I like the nice even lighting on the Avocet.

Vincent. I would crop the botton and add more contrast to this fine image.

Vincent, I really don't think you can improve on the actual photo, only the post-processing which has to do with what others have noted: contrast. It is a beautiful image. If you are setting your shadow and highlight points, then it is a matter of making a little "s" curve in Curves OR for web posting, go to Image>Adjust>Brightness/contrast and reduce brightness 3 or 4 points and increase contrast 2 or 3. Be sure you have selected sRGB Mode prior to saving for web. 8)
