Banded dotterel (Charadrius bicinctus), Miranda, New Zealand
A bit of a boring shot of what I am pretty sure is a juvenile banded dotterel. If anyone can either confirm the ID or tell me it is something more interesting (to me), like a Mongolian, I'd love to hear. It wandered through a flock of wrybill I was shooting, and being unsure of what it was I grabbed some record shots. Backlit in fading light, I was pleasantly surprised by some of the images. techs not at hand but probably EOS100, 300/2.8, 2xII, 550EX |
