Having shown you a closeup portrait of a Greater Sandplover earlier, I thought a flight shot would be appropriate for now ...

The shot was captured early this week at a nature reserve here in Hong Kong. These are 'tiny' birds as well as being swift flyers.

KK,

These flight shots are awesome. I really love the wing position here and I know how tough it is to get these guys. Looks like the sun wasn't the best from where the shadows are but the exposure is very good here. I'm curious how much of a crop is there on here? Was this cropped from a horizontal?

KK, just one awesome flight shot after another. I like that one birds wing is up and the other birds wing is down.

KK, catching one of these in flight is great in my book, but two takes this over the top.

Another wonderful flight shot. I also like the wings up, wings down catch, it adds interest.

Did i read in some other forums that the it is "impossible" to make flight shots with the 10D? Great shot witnessing your technique!

Great work. I'm sure we all know the effort and practice that goes into a shot like this.

Awesome shot!
I love the positions of the wings. The BG is very nice also.
Do you have a horizontal with more room to fly into of these?

KK,

Harsh light, but digital's wider latitude served you well here.

KK,

Excellent to capture both with opposite wing beats.
