Canon 1D, 500 4 is, 1.4 TC on a VERY windy day
I debated posting this because of the branches - what do you think?

Earl, the branches are not too bad IMO. The pose well makes up for it. Nice shot.

Earl, I love this image for two reasons ... it looks like he's a traffic cop directing snarled traffic, and the 'accordion' pleats coming down his tail are shown to perfection!!! Anhingas are the only birds to have this feature. :D :D

Lake Martin is all about branches and twigs, isn't it? Still, it's got some mighty interesting birds, like your anhinga here. Great capture of a great pose.

I sure like the wildness of this; I think the twigs enhance that feeling and the upstretched wing and wind-blown look greatly add.
