When these birds are around it's hard for me to concentrate on anything else. :D

Slight crop all around

Comments and critiques are always welcome. Thanks for looking.

I think I would feel the same way...never actually seen one in the wild  .
You seem to be the avocet master though and this photo reinforces that! Great shot!

These certainly are elegant birds and you've captured this one beautifully! Cropping off most of the reflection to just above the double bill part would make this even stronger. I'd love to have this one myself!

This is excellent - the body position, sharpness and perfect plumage really combine well to put this a cut above the rest.

Awesome capture!
I like the pose and the water color. Lots of detail and the water drop is really nice.
I wish I could find some avocets here...

Beautiful shot. I'd light to see the bird a litte higher in the frame but sweet as is. These guys should be up here soon!

Awesome shot, I'm not sure about the composition, it seems like lower or higher might make this a more powerful image.

Bill,

Excellent. I 'd also crop from the bottom to make this even better.

Oh poor you... only focusing on the avocets. ;) I only wish I had to make the decision as to which subject to shoot... I'll take anything I can get around here! Very nice shot as always Bill!

I swear I'm going to show up on your doorstep and make you take me to see the Avocets. This one is gorgeous.......colors and detail are perfect. I'd probably crop a little from the bottom.....but then if I saw one I'd probably be so shocked I'd forget to hit the shutter.
