Burrowing owl Inagua

This was taken last week in Inagua with a Nikon D1X, F5.6, 1/500, no flash. aperture priority,

Judylynn; lovely bird and pretty good exposure, nice colors as well, stepping back a couple of feet would have given you room for his virtual feet, still very nice!! Congrats!!! 8)

I always like to see a sharp eye and this one is definitely sharp. Nice background, exposure looks good. A bit more room at the bottom would be nice.

Very nice shot. I'm with the rest regarding the tightness on the bottom. Love the pose and the sharp eye. :)

Judy,

I heard Inagua is one of the best places in the Bahamas to find unusual animals. It looks like you found some of the interesting birds. This is a neat owl. I like the colors, pose and sharp eye. Agree with the others about more room at the bottom. Nice shot.
