The shot of a female Wigeon was taken late last December at a nature reserve here in Hong Kong. Wild ducks are as difficult to approach as other waterbirds in this part of the world. I count myself lucky to get this close this time ...

KK, this is nice. A touch of fill would have softened the shadow on his neck. Good job getting close.

Great job of getting her out of the water with such a clean background.
Do you know what species she is?

Beautifully clear, nice getting her out on dry land.... shadow doesn;t bother me at all; my eye looks for a little more space on top.

Its a Eurasian Wigeon female and a nice shot with the only minor thing being the shadowed neck.

KK, I love the DOF and the angle you took the photo as it makes it a pathway for the duck to take. Great shot.
