American Avocet Recurvirostra americana

Another one from the other day at Belmar.

This will be my last image post for a while. Sheri and I are finally, after 30 years of marriage, going on our honeymoon - a cruise in the Caribbean for our anniversary.

Bill,

Your avocet images have been beautiful. I love the frozen drops of water here. I hope to be able to photogrpah this bird someday.

Congratulations on your 30 years of marriage. My wife and I will also be celebrating (?? ) our 30th anniversary this year.

Greg

Looks like it lifted out of the water nicely for you. It's a cute little bird with that upturned beak. As always, a beautiful capture.

Have a great trip! :)

A great behavioral and portrait while using a submarine to be at water level is hard to beat when all the technicals and composition elements are so finely done.

Bill, way to go a great shot. Love the water droplets. If the weather cheers up a little, I think I will head down there for some shots this weekend.
