eagle grabbing fish

I have been putting up allot of eagle images in good light, so here is one taken on a flat lit day.

1D, 300 f/2.8
exposure - 1/1250 @ f/4, fill flash high speed sync. manual full pwr

A very nice capture and composition; I especially like the positioning of the wings. In a perfect world, there would not be so much merge between the head and the background but that is just being picky. A great shot that I would be proud to have myself.

You feel the movement here; the water splash still up makes a nice diagonal to the feathering that is this way and that way indicating the sharp accelleration very well.

I've viewed many shots of Eagles just about to make a catch but this is the first I recall showing the instant after the catch.
