I photographed these Canada Geese as they came towards me and landed in the water at LaSalle Park recently. Looked to me as if they were racing to see who could spalsh down first! Both were honking loudly as they approached, as if to warn the Mallards and Mute Swans to clear a path on the runway!

I hope you like it. Thanks for looking.

I love how you caught them both with their bills open and tongues hanging out. This is very nice. :)

Did they hit you? Great perspective and expression on both geese.

Looks funny!
Great composition you got there! And like others said you hit the shutter button just at the right moment. Both bills open. I bet the first one is warning that other one about some goofy photographer who was sitting in their landing strip.
Did you get this with AF or did you manually prefocus and hit the button at the right place?

Very nice, Jeff. Clearly, they want you to DUCK.
With the almost completely OOF background, they seem to come out of no where and looking for a place to set down. I like it.

Hi everyone. This was shot on AI Servo, and I tracked them in my viewfinder without shooting until they got really close, then I shot two frames. These guys made so much noise, as if to tell me to shoot their arrival! I was shooting ducks floating in the water at the time, then swung the Wimberley 'hard to the right' to get these two.

No... luckily they were still a fair way away so they didn't land on me... :)

Great shot, I rarely have any success with birds flying toward me.
