Beautiful colors and background. Good exposure on the shark with that dark background.

The scale on this is tough for me to grasp. The shark looks like a full sized adult and since I know nothing about this type of shark, I', thinking 8-10' long. However, all of the other fish and marine life look as if they would be rather small. So, I take it this is a small shark?

Tim, this guy was approximately 3 1/2 feet long. They usually max out at around 4 ft.

Really nice. It is rare for aquarium photos to work without flash. ISO 1250 seems to be the key. Looks quite natural with the existing light here. I recognize the yellow tangs as I used to have some for many years.

Neat shot.

What I found most interesting was that I couldn't get a quick handle on the sizes of things. The proportions of the shark are right for it to be very large, yet the tank environment says "small", and the tropical fish imply "medium size". That was fun!

This is terrific. You've inspired me to make some time for a trip to an aquarium. The colors are wonderful and the comp with the hammerhead is perfect. Well done

You really did well with your aquarium visit. Very nice shot. The size relationship between the shark and the fish threw me as well. Thanks for posting.

Great shot! The colors are fantastic. Like others, I was really perplexed about the scale before reading the comments.
