Canon EOS3 with 100mm macro and tripod, Sensia 100

This is a Common Mestra butterfly that I photographed at Hans Suter Wildlife Area in Corpus Christi last November. I calibrated my monitor today so hopefully the whites are too hot. All comments are welcome especially the nits and advice for photoshop.

Thanks and I look forward to being an active participant in this gallery.

Very nice shot. I like how the entire butterfly is in focus. Nice light too.
A great first post here and welcome to flora and macro.

Very nice. You paralleled the wings perfectly. Sharp edge to edge.

Great focus all the way. The whites look great here.
(I think you can post a bit larger.)

Well done! I love macro, and consider myself reasonably skilled at it, but I can never do butterfly shots well.

I'd welcome you, but I just did my first post here a day or two ago myself. What the heck, welcome anyway! :)

Excellent dof. Great job of keeping camera on the correct plane.

Well exposed and composed. Maybe a tad more room horizontally, but super as posted!
