I figured this was a little different and it's time to say hello and Happy New Year so I am saying both! :D

This was from the Venice Rookery where Bill T met me and I had a really enjoyable morning. Nest building was going on as well as nurturing young so there was a little of everything. Very cool place. I wish I had more time there!

Nikon D100, 500mm AF-S, X1.4, ISO 200, F8, 1/180, Fill Flash at -1, Gitzo 1548, Sidekick. wishing it were a tad sharper (already used USM) but like it anyway

Very nice shot!! The nest building is what makes this for me. A slight crop off the left, to remove the legs, strengthens this for me. :D

Exellent action. I wish you had gone to ISO 400 and gone with a faster shutter speed.

A little tight George but it is nice action. I think you needed a little higher shutter speed than the 1/180th limit that the D100 give you.

Interesting shot. I don;t mind the blurred wings. I might like it cropped even more.
