This guy had just lost half of his cows to a rival. I was hoping for a fight in the river but I would have never had enough shutter speed to catch the action anyway.

Congratulations on a very successful image! The subject placement and action captured is excellent IMHO. The steam and pastel colors provides a certain moody feel to the image.. Well done and thanks for posting!

This is very good! Like Dennis said, the colors and fog really add to the mood. Catching the bull bugling really adds to the image. I get a real sense of loneliness from this image. Well Done!!!

Great animalscape here. Excellent composition with the placement of the elk in the lower right power point. The colors and the bugling also really add to the emotional impact of the image.

Wow, Jess, I love the layers of land and fog. It seems to enhance the sad mood that I'd expect this guy to be suffering.

Great shot, but looks magenta to me, is that realistic?

Beautiful, I love the dark tones which add mood to the scene.

That's excellent! The fog, the fingers of land and a great profile. You could also crop this to a very nice pano or a tighter image.
