some of the forum sites have a feature which allows you to block/hide a members posts/responses from your view.

1) I get to where I just can't stand some people and know some will feel the same about me.

2) some of the UK and euro sites are blocked where I work. I cant see members images and it tends to tie up my browser trying.

another feature - Post Jail
feature sends a post to Jail. If three members vote to send a post to Jail it gets deleted automatically. Generally used to rid the site of offensive posts.

The block/hide feature might be alright, although I know I will never need it on this site. As for the post jail, I think it is a bad idea. I know that the forum moderators on this site will do a good job of monitoring offensive and off-topic posts.

A feature for hiding/blocking certain posts is not available to my knowledge.

As far as "offensive posts" go, if you spot any, please notify a moderator right away. Greg, E.J. and I can be contacted about any forum, and the specific forum moderators are listed at the upper left corner of the page while you're in the forum's main page.

Quite honestly if a site gets to the point where I want/need to block people, I just don't visit there anymore. I can't see that happening here.
