Actually a Nothern Shoveler out and about in the snow storm we had this morning. The last snow I was working so this time I wanted to capture something while the flakes were flying. I couldnt really find much happening and the light was next to nothing but I did come home with this. Cropped all around to make a little larger in frame.

Whites are a touch hot but other than that I love it -- snow is a bug bonus and you lucked out to get a clear shot around the eyes and bill.

:D Funny subject line and nice photo, the snow is a real bonus. I'm personally tired of shoveling snow here in Kansas City and I'm ready to start taking pictures again!

Does he ever have a Daffy duck expression on his face :) And who wouldn't in that weather. Looks a little light.

Nice to see the eye clear of snow and I like that the back end is a bit blured but head is sharp.

Very nice image, Ian. I might like the BG a bit darker.

Very nice situation and composition, though it does look a little hot. I don't know anything about the 1d, but +1 2/3 seems like a ton of compensation for water that doesn't look all that light. Did you check the histogram?

Very cool shot - 1/3 less exposure would have really made this one sing.
