Usually you don't see them around that much during the day, but this young owl was hungrier than usual.

Rob,

I like the back lighiting effect, but a little fill flash might have helped bring out more detail in the shaded area. Considering the difficulty of the exposre it is still a good looking image.

Great specimen, pose, rim lighting, and exposure. Can you flash these guys or do their eyes go crazy if you do?

The light was not from the right direction but you managed to take a good picture, very good composition, very good details.

The backlighting works well. Good job w/ the exposure, nice detail.
You'd never find one of these sitting out like this around my area.
