Greater cormorant

Greater cormorant , taken last sunday, on one of their wintering grounds, close to my home, Gent, Belgium,
Could not decide wich of the 2 shots was best,
Canon 100-400 mm, at 400 mm, handheld, natural light

I prefer the second shot with the wings in down stroke. :wink: Looks sharp to me.

2nd shot as well - better suspended action and the wingtips touching the water make it more dramatic.

Definately the second shot primarily because of the better light on the face and catchlight in the eye.
