1DII, 400mm, 1/250, f/22, ISO250, multiple flashes
Houston, Texas

I'm still being challenged with my backgrounds. I tried a color balance layer in PS, but I'm still not happy with it (too much blue) and I really want to get the board right and not have to work it out in PS. I have a few with flowers, but too many shadows on the foliage to post! A wonderful challenge and I love it!

I hope everyone had a great weekend... :)

This background looks very nice and natural. Nice photo too - especially the slight head turn.

Very sharp and well composed, the graduated background looks very natural, this hummer has a more 3-D look. The light from the right was stronger so gave a nice differentiation of the light belly versus the more darker wings. If you are doing this well with these "drab" hummers wait until you are exposed to the spectacular ones in Ecuador. I would probably have to bring some Valium because you will be getting epileptic attacks of happiness.
