Not trying to compete with Greg's fabulous headshot, but would like input on how to get there! Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago.

Thank you for looking.

Excellent framing, exposure and bg, Georgina!
A slight boost in contrast would pop this one ...

Like KK says - this is beautifully composed, but needs something in the postprocessing (I'm not anywhere near proficient enough in Photoshop to know exactly what it needs....)

I like the pose and the DOF. I think it needs a bit of a contrast boost using levels or whatever method you prefer

Killer portrait! :) But it looks like a green grey wash covers the image. Could be the fence messing with things, and I think that can be fixed with a slight tweek in color balance toward magenta, and a slight boost in contrast in levels, or curves, or brightness/contrast, where ever you get the best results. Contrast boosts always increase saturation, so I think you will be styling. I wish we had these fantastic eagles here in San Diego. How about a repost, this one deserves it! :D

Thanks,

Thank you all for the tips! I adjusted the curves and color balance...I think it does look better. Anyway, I'll keep trying!

Magnificient shot Georgina!!!

My preference is the first with some additional sharpening to bring up the detail in the feathers and eye.
