Hi all
My name is Elroyie I am new here and this is my first post.

In this picture I used second curtain flash with low speed shutter to catch this pied king fisher hoovering in the air, it was pretty dark.
The low speed was for creating a feeling of movement.

My eqp. is Canon EOS 20D, Canon 100-400L IS with Kenko x1.4 TC and 550EX flash on camera.

1/30, f8.0, 560mm, ISO400.

Elroyie David

Welcome. Tough shot for a first post. I like the framing and the action.

Nice one Elroyie. The dark BG really makes this one for me.

Shalom David and welcome!
Nice first post of one of my favorite birds! I would consider a vertical crop to remove as much as possible from the unnaturally dark BG.

Thank you all for your welcome greetings :)

Ofer, I know that, but I prefer open frames, especially with non-static pictures, thank U for the critique.
Elroyie

All my birds' pictures were taken in nature.
