I like this very much

besides of the colours, I do like the diagonals found in this shot. The alignment of the Css and the leave is lovely. DOF seems spot on. I like the BG, in which you can still recognise the next leave, but not bothering busy.

Cheers

I love everything about this shot except. . .and this could be my cheap monitor. . .the center of the thorax seems hot; do you happen to remember your flash settings? I shot hundreds of dragonflies this summer, and I absolutely love this shot; esp. your diagonal composition.

Guess you might be right on this, the FEC on this one is 0, I did cover the flash with an Omnibounce.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hey, Tim, this is still a keeper in my book. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, you'd be proud to look at my portfolio next fall; I've got to try some similar compositions. . .

Very nice. The backgound really compliments the dragonfly.

Very nicely composed. I would back off a bit on the flash as the thorax and to segments 5 on the abdomen appear to be overflashed.

I really like the comp in this one. Other than being a bit hot on the flash, not nits from me.

The slight overexposure imparts a metallic-look to the animal which makes it quite unusual and beautiful.
