MN

Taken during our recent vistit to MN for black bears, I am happy to report there are still Great Gray owls in MN  As we saw a number of them in May and now this one in Aug. it seems some have stayed the summer, hopefully establishing residency.

See you in the field,

Hey Chas,
Nice to see one in summer surroundings. In the "for what it's worth department", Great Gray's have been breeding in northern MN for years. This year howerver may have seen an increase in the population from birds hanging around from the huge invasion of last winter. :)

Super capture Chas, there has been reports of a dozen or more Great Grays over summer in Northwestern Wisconsin.

I wanna take some pictures of owls... :) I don't even think I've seen that many owls in the wild, let alone pointed the lens at one. Love the composition and that owl stare.

A lovely capture, Chas. I really like the included environment with the clean green BG for the owl. Magnificent birds, GGO's.
