Phyllopalpus pulchellus - "handsome mouth feeler" I was surprised to hear this fellow singing last weekend at my local marsh. These guys are about 1.2cm long and are always on the move. It took some doing to find green leaves to place him on. There seemed to be something on the leaves, fungi I'd guess, that he enjoyed eating. Here he was between meals and looked right at the camera. I think that this shot certainly captures his personality. EOS 1Ds, 180 mm macro at f/29, 1/125 sec, ISO 200, using two flash units with diffusers. In PS, levels, USM and a slight crop.
