Marvellous shot that. Out of interest what was your technique? Were you too in the long grass to capture this?
I've missed a few crucial shots like this due to cruddy AF performance with the D70 (hunting on moving targets).
Anyway, well done.....exposure is spot on.

No blind was used as these little Kites are not too difficult to approach - especially when there is something tasty in the grass to draw their attention.. :lol:

Bobbyz, as Ofer said they're not afraid of humans at all. Well some are more than others but most times you can walk upto where they're perched and they just look at you. I've been standing under one at a distance of about 3m.
