Took this yesterday while at a friends house. This bird let me get really close, about 10 feet.

Canon 20D
Sigma 50-500mm @ 500mm
1/250 sec, f/8
Mode: Manual
ISO: 200
Flash exp comp: -2/3

Nice look back....and with dinner it's a plus. Although not crazy about the perch....I've come to accept what they appear to land on. After all....to them it's natural as man has removed so much of the truly natural perches.
